Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Garment Quality Checker with hands-on experience in the garment or tailoring industry. The candidate will be responsible for checking the measurements, stitching, fitting, finishing, and overall quality of finished garments before dispatch.

The ideal candidate must understand garment construction and be able to identify measurement errors, stitching defects, and finishing issues in men's formalwear.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect finished garments, including men's suits, blazers, formal shirts, trousers, and Indian ethnic wear.
- Take garment measurements using a measuring tape and compare them with the approved measurement chart or specification sheet.
- Check garment fitting, length, chest, shoulder, sleeve, waist, hip, and other relevant measurement points.
- Identify stitching defects, loose threads, open seams, uneven hems, puckering, stains, fabric defects, and finishing issues.
- Check collars, cuffs, sleeves, buttons, buttonholes, zippers, pockets, linings, and overall garment construction.
- Verify that garments match the approved sample, design, size specifications, and customer requirements.
- Identify garments requiring alteration, repair, or rework and coordinate with the tailoring or production team.
- Ensure every garment meets the required quality standards before final approval and dispatch.




- Maintain basic quality-checking records and report repeated defects.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience in garment quality checking or tailoring quality inspection.
- Strong knowledge of garment measurement and size charts.
- Ability to use a measuring tape accurately.
- Knowledge of stitching, garment construction, fitting, and finishing.
- Ability to identify garment defects and measurement deviations.
- Experience in men's formalwear, suits, blazers, shirts, trousers, or made-to-measure garments will be preferred.
- Good observation skills and attention to detail.

Experience & Qualification

- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a garment factory, tailoring unit, apparel manufacturing company, or garment quality department.
- Candidates with practical garment-checking experience will be preferred over candidates with only general industrial quality-control experience.
- Basic education is acceptable if the candidate has the required practical knowledge and skills.

Important: This role is strictly for the garment/apparel/tailoring industry. Candidates from automobile, mechanical, electrical, electronics, or other unrelated industrial QC backgrounds will not be considered.

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
