We are looking for a Production Supervisor to handle day-to-day production activities for pharma machinery spares and engineering components. The person will be responsible for production planning, manpower allocation, material availability, job tracking, and ensuring that production is completed as per the required quality standards and delivery schedule.

The role requires someone who understands shop-floor operations, can coordinate with different departments, and can ensure that production work runs smoothly from planning to final dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan daily production activities according to customer orders, delivery schedules, and available resources.
- Prepare and monitor production plans, job cards, and work orders.
- Understand and work with BOM (Bill of Materials) for production planning and material requirements.
- Coordinate with the stores and purchase departments to ensure the timely availability of raw materials, bought-out items, and components.
- Allocate manpower to different machines and production activities based on workload and priorities.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, work allocation, and overall manpower utilisation.
- Supervise shop-floor activities related to sheet metal fabrication and engineering components, including cutting, bending, drilling, welding, fitting, assembly, and finishing, wherever applicable.
- Ensure that production is carried out as per drawings, dimensions, specifications, and work instructions.
- Coordinate with the design, purchase, stores, quality, and dispatch teams to avoid production delays.
- Track work-in-progress (WIP), pending jobs, production output, rework, and rejection.




- Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action to meet delivery commitments.
- Maintain daily production reports, machine-wise output, manpower utilisation, and pending-job status.
- Update production entries, material consumption, and job status in ERP.
- Work with the ERP/MIS team to maintain correct production data, BOM details, and work-order information.
- Ensure proper utilisation of material and minimise wastage, rework, and idle time.
- Maintain discipline, housekeeping, and secure working practices on the shop floor.
- Follow up on urgent and priority orders and provide regular updates to management.
- Ensure that finished components are handed over to quality and dispatch within the planned timeline.

Required Skills and Experience

- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
- Practical experience in production supervision in sheet metal fabrication, precision engineering, industrial components, or machinery spares manufacturing.
- Good understanding of production planning, BOM, job cards, work orders, and material flow.
- Experience in manpower planning, job allocation, and shop-floor supervision.
- Working knowledge of engineering drawings and basic measurement instruments.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and production reporting is preferred.
- Basic Excel skills for production planning, daily reports, and MIS.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and follow up on pending work.
- Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to manage production priorities.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in sheet metal fabrication, industrial machinery parts, precision engineering, equipment spares, or similar engineering manufacturing industries will be preferred.

Experience in production planning and ERP-based manufacturing operations will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
