About the Role
Pepup HR is hiring a Research & Communications Lead on behalf of its client, for their team based in Delhi. This dual role combines political research and communications: you will lead research that shapes campaign positions and turn it into speeches, media narratives and rapid responses. It suits professionals with sharp political acumen and persuasive writing skills

Key Responsibilities

Political Research

- Direct research on the political landscape, key issues and voter aspirations.
- Conduct opposition research and track rival campaigns, statements and narratives
- Translate survey, field and data insights into clear messaging priorities.

Political Communications and Media

- Draft political positions on significant developments, grounded in research.
- Write and supervise speeches, press releases, op-eds and talking points.
- Prepare briefs for spokespersons, TV debates and press conferences.
- Drive rapid response and counter-narratives to negative campaigns and recent issues.
- Plan media campaigns across print, TV and digital with the social media team.
- Build strong relationships with national and regional media professionals.

Leadership and Collaboration

- Lead a team of researchers and writers, ensuring all outputs are fact-checked.
- Work with strategy, data,



field and digital teams for timely campaign delivery.

Required Qualifications

- Master's degree in Political Science, Journalism, Mass Communication or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in political research, political communications or journalism.
- Expertise in either research or communications, with hands-on exposure to the other.
- Sharp political acumen and a deep understanding of Indian politics and media.
- Excellent speechwriting and content writing skills in Hindi and English.
- Proven ability to lead teams under pressure in high-intensity campaign environments.
- Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours during campaigns and elections.
- Preference will be given to LAMP Fellows, candidates with Ministry experience, or those with established media networks.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Delhi, Delhi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
