A spinal cord injury can bring sudden and life-altering changes to an individual's physical abilities, independence, and emotional well-being. At Soulfree, we support individuals and their families in rebuilding their lives by providing comprehensive rehabilitation, compassionate care, and opportunities to regain independence and self-confidence.

We are looking for a passionate and committed Occupational Therapist who is interested in spinal cord injury rehabilitation and helping beneficiaries achieve greater independence in their daily lives.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will assess beneficiaries with spinal cord injuries and develop individualized occupational therapy plans to improve functional independence and quality of life. The role includes training beneficiaries in activities of daily living (ADLs), upper-limb function, fine motor skills, adaptive techniques, assistive device selection and usage, wheelchair-related functional activities, home and environmental modifications, and documentation of therapy progress in coordination with the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Qualifications and Requirements





- Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT/MOT).
- Language: Ability to communicate in Tamil is preferred.
- Experience: Both freshers and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
- Commitment: Willingness to relocate to Tiruvannamalai and commit to long-term association with the institution.
- Skills and Approach: Empathy, patience, compassion, and a robust interest in working with persons with spinal cord injuries.
- Qualified Focus: Ability and willingness to support beneficiaries in developing independence in activities of daily living (ADLs), functional skills, upper-limb activities, adaptive techniques, and the use of assistive devices, as appropriate to their rehabilitation needs.

Salary will be offered based on qualifications, experience, skills, and value addition to the institution.
