- Civil engineers are responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects
- They ensure the structures are secure, efficient, and cost-effective
- Their duties may include: Project Planning: Develop project plans, including budgets, timelines, and resources required
- Design: Create detailed designs and technical drawings using software tools
- This includes structural, architectural, and other engineering drawings
- Construction Oversight: Supervise construction activities, ensuring they comply with design specifications and safety standards
- Site Inspections: Visit construction sites regularly to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to plans
- Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials and equipment for construction projects
- Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during construction, providing technical solutions




- Compliance: Ensure projects comply with relevant regulations, building codes, and safety standards
- Documentation: Maintain records, prepare reports, and document project progress
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, contractors, and other professionals involved in the project
