Job Summary

G.D. Goenka Public School, Kolkata, is looking for an experienced Public Speaking Teacher to develop students' communication skills, confidence, presentation abilities, and public-speaking techniques. The candidate must possess a B.Ed. qualification and have proven experience in public speaking. The ideal candidate should be capable of training students to participate effectively in speeches, debates, elocution competitions, presentations, and other school-level programmes.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct structured public-speaking sessions for students across different age groups.
- Develop students' verbal communication, articulation, pronunciation, voice modulation, and presentation skills.
- Train students in speech preparation, stage presence, body language, audience engagement, and effective communication.
- Prepare students for debates, elocution competitions, speeches, presentations, storytelling, and other speaking activities.
- Coach students for school assemblies, annual functions, special occasions, and inter-school competitions.
- Conduct practical exercises, mock presentations, group discussions, and impromptu speaking activities.
- Help students overcome stage fear and develop confidence while speaking before an audience.
- Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to improve their communication and presentation skills.
- Coordinate with teachers and the school administration for public-speaking activities and school events.
- Plan and manage student rehearsals and ensure that participants are adequately prepared for scheduled programmes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- B.Ed. is mandatory.




- Proven experience in public speaking is mandatory.
- Candidates must demonstrate practical experience in public speaking, speech delivery, presentation, debating, communication training, or related activities.
- Experience in preparing and training students for public-speaking competitions, speeches, debates, or stage presentations will be an advantage.
- A Master's degree in a relevant discipline will be preferred.
- Prior experience in a school or educational institution will be an added advantage.
- Relevant professional training or certifications in public speaking, communication skills, debating, or related fields will be preferred.
- Candidates should be capable of training students across different age groups and adapting their teaching methods to suit students' learning needs.
