Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced US & Canada OTR Freight Broker with strong knowledge of over-the-road transportation, carrier sourcing, load booking, and freight rate negotiation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing shipments across the United States and Canada while maintaining strong relationships with carriers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate OTR shipments across the US and Canada.
- Source reliable carriers and negotiate competitive freight rates.
- Book loads and coordinate with carriers, drivers, and customers.
- Track shipments and ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Negotiate rates to maximize profitability and maintain service quality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and customers.
- Handle shipment updates, tracking, PODs, and other transportation documents.
- Resolve delays, capacity issues, and other operational challenges.
- Use load boards and transportation management systems (TMS) to manage daily operations.

Requirements





- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in US & Canada OTR freight brokerage or trucking logistics.
- Strong knowledge of US and Canadian transportation lanes, carrier networks, and freight rates.
- Hands-on experience with load boards such as DAT and Truckstop.
- Excellent carrier sourcing, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and meet operational deadlines.
- Knowledge of FTL and LTL shipments is preferred.
- Willingness to work in night shifts aligned with US and Canadian business hours.

Preferred Skills

- Experience handling FTL, LTL, dry van, and flatbed shipments.
- Knowledge of cross-border transportation between the US and Canada.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and achieve operational targets.
