About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst with hands-on BlackLine implementation experience to support end-to-end financial close transformation. You will work with Finance, IT, ERP teams and BlackLine specialists to translate requirements into effective, well-controlled solutions.

The role covers multiple BlackLine capabilities, potentially including Account Reconciliations, Transaction Matching, Task Management, Smart Close, Journal Entry, Variance Analysis and relevant intercompany functionality. The final module scope will depend on client requirements.

Key responsibilities

Lead requirements workshops and document current-state R2R processes, control gaps and future-state business requirements.





Prepare business requirements documents, functional specifications, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria and traceability matrices.

Support functional design and configuration validation across in-scope BlackLine modules and their dependencies.

Analyse reconciliation workflows, transaction matching rules, tolerances, exception handling, journals and close task management.

Work with ERP and integration teams on source-system requirements, data mapping, interface design and data validation.

Develop end-to-end test scenarios, scripts and expected results; support SIT, UAT, regression testing and defect resolution.

Validate workflows, approvals, reconciliation results, matching rules, journals, close tasks and reporting outputs.

Support cutover, migration validation, training materials, business readiness, go-live and stabilisation activities.

Maintain clear documentation, decision logs, risks, dependencies and progress updates for project stakeholders.

What you'll bring

Essential

5–8+ years of experience in business analysis, finance systems, finance transformation or financial close technology.

Demonstrable hands-on BlackLine implementation experience, preferably across multiple modules.

Strong R2R understanding, including general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany and month-end close.





Experience gathering requirements and translating finance needs into functional designs and documented specifications.

Ability to assess end-to-end BlackLine workflows and dependencies between modules and ERP systems.

Experience in ERP integration, data mapping, data validation, SIT, UAT and defect management.

Excellent analytical, documentation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Desirable

Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency or global finance environments.

Exposure to SAP and other enterprise ERP systems.

Knowledge of financial controls, audit requirements and process standardisation.

GBS, shared services or finance transformation programme experience.

BlackLine training or certification and experience with distributed implementation teams.

Measures of success

Accurate, complete business requirements and validated BlackLine functional designs.

Effective coordination of cross-module dependencies and ERP integration requirements.

Thorough SIT/UAT coverage, timely defect resolution and reliable testing evidence.

Successful cutover preparation, user readiness, training and adoption.
