Berkley Hyundai is looking for a dynamic, commercially driven, and result-oriented Used Car Purchase Manager to strengthen our pre-owned car business.

We are seeking a professional who can source quality used vehicles, accurately assess their condition and market value, negotiate competitive purchase prices, and build a strong inventory of high-demand pre-owned cars.

We don't just buy cars—we invest in the right inventory at the right price.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage used car purchasing operations to achieve business targets and profitability objectives.
- Source quality pre-owned vehicles through customer exchanges, direct purchases, referrals, walk-in customers, online leads, and other relevant channels.
- Evaluate vehicle condition, model, variant, age, kilometres driven, service history, ownership records, and resale potential.
- Conduct or coordinate vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, structural, accident-related, and cosmetic issues.
- Assess market prices and determine competitive purchase valuations to ensure healthy margins.
- Negotiate with customers and vehicle owners to secure the best possible acquisition prices.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of used car purchase leads and develop relationships with customers, brokers, and sourcing partners.
- Ensure proper verification of vehicle documents,



ownership history, registration details, loan or hypothecation status, and transfer requirements.
- Coordinate with the sales, service, workshop, and refurbishment teams to facilitate vehicle inspection, reconditioning, and inventory readiness.
- Monitor purchase conversion rates, sourcing volumes, average acquisition cost, stock quality, and potential profitability.
- Ensure timely documentation, purchase approvals, payment coordination, and compliance with company processes.
- Maintain accurate purchase records and provide regular performance reports to management.

Candidate Profile

- Relevant experience in used car purchasing, pre-owned automobile sales, vehicle valuation, or automobile dealership operations.
- Strong knowledge of used car market pricing, vehicle condition assessment, and resale values.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to identify profitable acquisition opportunities and avoid overpriced or high-risk vehicles.
- Understanding of vehicle documentation, ownership transfer, and basic vehicle inspection procedures.
- Strong local market knowledge and the ability to build effective sourcing networks.
- Target-oriented, commercially aware,



and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.
- Experience with a branded automobile dealership or organized pre-owned car business will be an advantage.
