About the role

We’re looking for a skilled CNC operator to run our Shree Umiya CNC router on a part-time basis. You’ll cut panels and components for wardrobes, kitchens, furniture and custom projects. The right person knows CNC routing machines well, is accurate and careful with material, and can take a job from file to finished parts without close supervision.

Key responsibilities

Machine operation

- Set up and run our Shree Umiya CNC router for panel cutting, grooving, drilling, pocketing and profile work.
- Load files, set tool offsets and zero points, and run test cuts before production.
- Select and change router bits for each job and material.
- Manage vacuum hold-down or clamping so sheets don’t shift during cutting.
- Monitor every cut for accuracy, finish and safety, and stop the machine if something looks wrong.

Software and machine skills

Must know

- Hands-on experience operating CNC routing machines for wood and panels
- Experience on a Shree Umiya CNC router, or a similar Indian-made wood router
- Understanding of spindle speed, feed rate,



depth per pass and router bit types (compression, down-cut, up-cut, V-bits, drill bits)
- G-code basics: reading and understanding a program
- At least one CAM or nesting software, such as Aspire/VCarve, Alphacam, Type3 or ArtCAM

What we’re looking for

- 1–3 years of experience operating CNC routing machines, ideally cutting plywood, MDF, particle board and laminated panels.
- Experience on Shree Umiya machines is strongly preferred.
- Positive understanding of how different materials and laminates behave when routed, and how to avoid chipping.
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately.
- Attention to detail and a habit of checking work before and after cutting.
- Reliable and punctual on agreed working days.
- ITI or diploma in a mechanical or related trade is a plus.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
