Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Operations Manager – 3PL to support and manage day-to-day logistics activities in coordination with third-party logistics service providers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth warehouse and transportation operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, monitoring service performance, and managing coordination between logistics partners, clients, and internal departments.

This role requires strong operational, analytical, communication, and coordination skills, along with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and maintain high service standards while controlling logistics costs.

Key Responsibilities1. Logistics Operations & 3PL Management

- Oversee daily logistics activities, including inbound shipments, outbound dispatches, warehousing, and order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to ensure timely processing and movement of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock accuracy, shipment status, and delivery timelines.
- Follow up on operational delays, shipment discrepancies, and fulfillment issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure logistics partners adhere to agreed service standards, operational procedures, and contractual SLAs.

2. Operational Performance & Process Optimization

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including delivery performance, order fulfillment accuracy, inventory discrepancies, and turnaround time.
- Analyze operational reports to identify recurring issues, service gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in implementing corrective actions and process enhancement initiatives.
- Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.




- Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, service quality, and operational efficiency.

3. Cost Control & Commercial Coordination

- Coordinate with 3PL partners on logistics pricing, service charges, billing queries, and commercial matters.
- Review logistics invoices and validate charges against agreed rates, contracts, and supporting documents.
- Identify billing discrepancies and coordinate with relevant teams for corrections.
- Assist in analyzing transportation, warehousing, and fulfillment costs.
- Support rate comparisons, cost-saving initiatives, and commercial negotiations with logistics partners.

4. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

- Maintain regular communication with clients and internal stakeholders regarding logistics operations and service requirements.
- Provide timely updates on order status, shipment progress, delivery issues, and operational performance.
- Handle client concerns and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure prompt resolution.
- Participate in client review meetings and assist in preparing performance summaries and operational updates.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, 3PL vendors, transporters, and internal departments.

5. MIS, Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering logistics performance, inventory movement, delivery status, and operational costs.
- Track KPIs and provide regular updates on service performance and improvement areas.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory,



invoices, service-level performance, and operational activities.
- Ensure SOPs, process documents, and operational reports are updated and readily available.
- Assist management with data analysis and reports to support operational and commercial decision-making.

6. Team Coordination & Operational Support

- Support the supervision and coordination of logistics personnel and third-party service provider teams.
- Guide team members and vendor contacts on operational processes, service expectations, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with warehouse, transport, customer service, finance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Escalate critical operational issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in logistics operations, 3PL management, warehouse operations, or supply chain coordination.
- Good understanding of inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management, order fulfillment, and transportation processes.
- Ability to analyze operational data, monitor KPIs, and prepare MIS reports.
- Knowledge of logistics billing, vendor coordination, commercial documentation, and cost control.
- Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
