Profile: Production Manager

Experience:

7-10 years in textile weaving, with at least 4-5 years in a production head or manager role Hands-on experience running a water jet loom unit Experience managing a large workforce of operators, technicians and supervisors Roles:

Oversee day-to-day production across all water jet looms to meet daily, weekly and monthly targets Plan production schedules based on orders, yarn availability and delivery timelines Monitor loom efficiency (RPM, stoppages, downtime) and take corrective action Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance and quick breakdown resolution Supervise shift in-charges, operators, fitters and helpers, and handle manpower allocation across shifts Control fabric quality and keep rejections, wastage and defects to a minimum Track yarn consumption,



beam utilization and finished fabric output Coordinate with warping, sizing, quality control, dispatch and stores departments Maintain production reports, MIS and efficiency data, and report to management Ensure the shop floor follows ISO, SEDEX and other compliance and safety standards Drive cost control and productivity improvement, including power and water consumption Train and develop supervisors and operators Qualification:

Diploma or B.Tech in Textile Engineering / Textile Technology (preferred) Graduate with solid hands-on water jet weaving experience will also be considered Working knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting
