Fitter, Machinist /Turner

Key Responsibilities and Duties

A. Machining and Turning Operations

- Operate conventional lathe machines, drilling machines, milling machines, and grinding machines as required for pump component manufacturing.
- Perform turning, facing, boring, taper turning, grooving, threading, drilling, and other machining operations.
- Machine pump shafts, sleeves, bushes, wear rings, spacers, coupling components, and other precision parts.
- Maintain specified dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, and concentricity as per engineering drawings.
- Select suitable cutting tools, work-holding devices, speeds, feeds, and machining methods.
- Check component dimensions using Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.

B. Pump Fitting and Assembly

- Carry out fitting, assembly, dismantling, and adjustment of industrial pumps and associated components.
- Assemble pump casings, impellers, shafts, bearings, sleeves, mechanical seals, glands, couplings, and other components as applicable to the pump design.
- Check shaft runout, clearances, alignment, and component fitment according to approved specifications.
- Perform deburring,



filing, polishing, and minor fitting adjustments where required.
- Assist in pump alignment and preparation of pump assemblies for inspection and testing.
- Ensure correct identification, handling, and assembly of components according to drawings and work instructions.

Qualifications and Experience

ITI in Fitter, Turner, or Machinist trade, or an equivalent technical qualification, preferred.

- Experience in industrial pump manufacturing, rotating equipment, machine shops, or mechanical assembly is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of conventional lathe operations and precision machining.
- Knowledge of pump components, mechanical fitting, and assembly procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.

Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools

SALARY IS NO BAR FOR RIGHT CANDIDATE...

Pay: ₹14,098.43 - ₹16,072.66 per month
