Financial Analyst – Business Performance & Equity Research

Salary Range: Rs 25,000-35,000 per month, depending on experience and skills

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to work directly with an investor, supporting the review of existing business investments and research into listed companies.

The role has two responsibilities: analysing the performance of a UAE retail and trading business, and researching companies for potential long-term stock investments.

The UAE business has its own central accounts team. Your responsibility will be to obtain reports, independently review performance, investigate questions and present clear findings to the investor.

1.Business performance analysis

- Obtain and review monthly P&Ls;, balance sheets, sales, purchase and inventory reports.

- Analyse store-wise profitability, expenses, working capital and investment returns.

- Compare product selling prices, purchase costs and margins across stores.

- Identify unusual figures, performance shortfalls and questions requiring clarification.

- Coordinate with the central accounts team to obtain supporting information.

- Prepare concise reports and financial assessments of expansion opportunities.

2.Equity research

- Research listed companies for potential long-term investment.

- Analyse annual reports, financial statements and quarterly results.





- Assess business models, industry competition, management, debt and cash generation.

- Evaluate company valuations and explain the assumptions used.

- Prepare short investment notes covering the investment case, risks and valuation.

- Track companies under review and update research following financial results or material developments.

**Requirements**

- B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance, CA Inter, CMA Inter or a relevant qualification.

- Preferably 3–5 years of relevant experience.

- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting ratios and cash flow statements.

- Practical experience in fundamental equity research, preferably covering Indian listed companies.

- Ability to demonstrate previous company research or investment analysis.

- Robust Excel skills and experience analysing ERP or accounting reports.

- Ability to work independently and explain findings in simple English.

CFA studies or relevant research qualifications are an advantage. Experience in retail, distribution or trading finance is also desirable.

**Selection process**

Shortlisted candidates will complete a practical assessment covering a business P&L; review and analysis of a listed company.

Final investment decisions will remain with the investor.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
