Compensation: ₹5.0 LPA total (₹3.8 LPA fixed + ₹1.2 LPA variable, performance-linked)

About the Role

We are looking for a Student Academic Mentor to guide students through their learning journey. You will be the main point of contact for students and parents, helping learners stay consistent, set goals, and improve their academic performance. Fluency in Tamil is mandatory, as you will mentor Tamil-speaking students and their parents.

Key Responsibilities

- Mentor an assigned group of students through regular one-on-one and group sessions.
- Help students set academic goals and build study plans and schedules.
- Track attendance, test scores, and engagement, and step in early when performance dips.
- Identify learning gaps and coordinate with teachers and the academic team on remedial support.
- Keep students motivated and address concerns like exam stress, procrastination, and time management.
- Hold regular parent check-ins to share progress and gather feedback.
- Maintain accurate mentoring records and progress reports in internal systems.
- Support retention and renewal by improving student satisfaction and outcomes.
- Share feedback and insights with the academic team to improve the learning experience.

Required Qualifications





- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in mentoring, counselling, teaching, or student support (freshers with strong aptitude may be considered).
- Tamil (mandatory): excellent spoken and written fluency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Hindi (other regional languages are a plus).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with empathy and patience when working with students and parents.
- Comfortable with CRM tools, Excel/Google Sheets, and online communication platforms.

Preferred Skills:

- Understanding of K-12 curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State boards, including Tamil Nadu State Board) or competitive exam preparation (JEE/NEET).
- Ability to analyse student data and act on it.
- Self-driven, organised, and able to manage multiple students at once.
