About Sipa’s Cafe

Sipa’s Cafe, located next to Zostel Vilpatti in the beautiful hills of Kodaikanal, is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and service-oriented Barista to join our team. We’re looking for someone who enjoys preparing great coffee, interacting with guests from across the world, and creating a warm and welcoming café experience.

Job Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, espresso-based beverages, and other café drinks to a consistent standard.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment.
- Take customer orders, handle billing, and process payments accurately.
- Welcome guests with a friendly attitude and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards at the coffee station and café.
- Assist with basic café operations, including restocking ingredients, monitoring supplies, and checking inventory.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth order preparation and timely service.
- Recommend beverages and menu items to guests and help create a positive café atmosphere.




- Follow café operating procedures and ensure orders are accepted and handled efficiently during operating hours.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a barista or in a café, restaurant, or hospitality role is preferred.
- Knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming, and basic latte art is an advantage.
- A passion for coffee, beverages, and customer service.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, quality, and detail.
- Willingness to work adaptable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A responsible, punctual, and team-oriented approach.

Freshers with a genuine interest in coffee and hospitality are welcome to apply, provided they are willing to learn.
