Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified, competent, and dedicated Emergency Medical Officer (EMO) to join our hospital's Emergency Department for the night shift. The candidate will be responsible for providing prompt medical assessment, emergency stabilization, initial treatment, and appropriate management of patients presenting with medical and trauma emergencies.

The ideal candidate should be capable of handling emergency situations independently within their competence, making timely clinical decisions, coordinating with specialists, and ensuring high standards of patient care during night hours.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess, triage, and provide immediate medical attention to patients arriving at the Emergency Department.
- Manage medical emergencies, trauma cases, acute illnesses, and other emergency presentations.
- Perform primary assessment, including ABCDE evaluation, vital signs monitoring, and initial stabilization.
- Provide emergency treatment for conditions such as cardiac emergencies, respiratory distress, seizures, anaphylaxis, shock, and altered consciousness.
- Perform CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
- Stabilize trauma patients and coordinate further management with relevant specialists.
- Order and interpret appropriate investigations, including ECG, blood tests, and imaging, within the hospital's protocols.
- Coordinate with nursing staff, laboratory personnel, radiology, ambulance services, and on-call consultants.
- Identify patients requiring admission, ICU care, specialist intervention, or urgent referral and arrange timely escalation.




- Maintain accurate patient records, emergency notes, treatment charts, and medico-legal documentation.
- Ensure proper handover of patients and pending cases to the incoming medical team.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection-control practices, patient-safety standards, and applicable medico-legal requirements.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and code-blue calls as per hospital policy.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid registration with the applicable State Medical Council or National Medical Register, as legally applicable.
- Prior experience in an Emergency Department, Casualty, ICU, or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, emergency stabilization, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in CPR and BLS; ACLS certification is an advantage.
- Ability to recognize critically ill patients and escalate care promptly.
- Good communication, teamwork, and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as per the duty roster.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience managing emergency cases independently within their qualifications and clinical competence.
- Familiarity with emergency protocols, triage systems, and hospital information systems.
- Responsible, punctual, compassionate, and patient-focused.
- Comfortable coordinating with on-call specialists and multidisciplinary teams during night hours.
- Has residence in Gurgaon preferably the Sushant Lok-1 Area.

Employment Details

- Duty Hours: 8 PM to 8 AM
- Salary: Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience.
- Joining: Immediate or as mutually agreed.
