Job Description: Billing & Recovery Agent – WTP, STP & ETP

Job Title: Billing and Recovery Agent

Department: Operations / Finance

Area of Work: WTP (Water Treatment Plant), STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) and ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant)

Job Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain monthly bills for WTP, STP and ETP services.

Coordinate with customers and clients regarding billing, outstanding payments and dues.

Follow up with customers for timely payment collection and recovery of overdue amounts.

Maintain billing records, payment receipts, outstanding statements and customer ledgers.

Verify invoices, service charges, consumption details and payment records.

Prepare daily, weekly and monthly billing and recovery reports.

Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.

Coordinate with the operations team to verify service details and plant-related charges.

Send payment reminders and follow up on overdue invoices through phone calls, emails and visits.

Maintain accurate documentation of collections, pending payments and recovery status.





Escalate long-pending dues and payment disputes to the concerned department or management.

Ensure compliance with company billing procedures and financial policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Graduate or 12th pass; commerce or accounting qualifications preferred.

Experience in billing, payment collection, recovery or accounts administration preferred.

Basic knowledge of MS Excel, billing software and accounting records.

Valuable communication, negotiation and customer-handling skills.

Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.

Knowledge of WTP, STP and ETP operations or service billing will be an advantage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Timely preparation and submission of invoices.

Achievement of monthly payment recovery targets.

Reduction in overdue and outstanding payments.

Accuracy of billing and financial records.

Timely resolution of customer billing disputes.

Reporting To: Billing Manager / Accounts Manager / Operations Manager

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
