Position: Assistant Professor

Departments: CSE | IT | AI & DS | Cyber Security (Computing Cluster)

ROLE SUMMARY

Deliver quality teaching, mentoring and academic support to undergraduate (and, where applicable, postgraduate) students of the computing departments, and contribute to departmental accreditation, research and industry-readiness activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Teaching: handle theory and laboratory courses as per the Anna University regulations and syllabus; prepare lesson plans, course files and assessments.
- Student support: act as class advisor/mentor; guide mini-projects and final-year projects; support placement and certification training.
- Academic quality: contribute to NBA/NAAC documentation, CO-PO attainment, internal assessments and university examination duties.
- Professional growth: publish research, attend FDPs/workshops, and pursue NPTEL/industry certifications and higher studies (Ph.D.).

QUALIFICATION & ELIGIBILITY (AS PER AICTE AND ANNA UNIVERSITY NORMS)

- Essential: B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in CSE, IT, AI & DS, Cyber Security or a relevant computing specialisation, with first class in both degrees.
- Cross-major: M.E./M.Tech.



in allied computing specialisations (e.g., AI & ML, Software Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, Networks, Cloud, IoT, Information Security) is acceptable as per Anna University guidelines. Candidates from other disciplines are considered only where equivalence is permitted under Anna University/AICTE norms.
- Preferred: Recent M.E./M.Tech. pass-outs; Ph.D. (pursuing or awarded), GATE/NET, or industry certifications; prior teaching or internship experience is an advantage.

MANDATORY SKILL

- Good English communication, spoken and written, for classroom delivery, student mentoring and academic documentation.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

- Strong fundamentals in programming, data structures, DBMS, networks and operating systems, plus one or more of AI/ML, data science or cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with OBE, LMS tools and up-to-date teaching methods; ability to guide projects and hackathons.
- Integrity, punctuality, teamwork and willingness to take on departmental responsibilities.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
