JOB DESCRIPTION – SITE ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Site Engineer with experience in commercial and interior fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for supervising site activities, coordinating with design and execution teams, monitoring project progress, ensuring quality and safety standards, and completing work within the planned schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Supervise day-to-day site activities for commercial and interior fit-out projects.
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, interior designers, MEP teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Check site measurements, levels, dimensions, and material requirements.
- Read and interpret architectural, interior, joinery, and MEP drawings.
- Coordinate civil, carpentry, partition, ceiling, flooring, painting, electrical, plumbing, and other fit-out works.
- Identify site issues, resolve execution-related challenges, and report major concerns to the project manager.
- Monitor material usage, labour productivity, and subcontractor performance.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship and quality standards are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and company standards.
- Prepare daily progress reports, site measurements, work updates,



and material requirement reports.
- Coordinate inspections, snagging, rectification, and handover activities.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

- Good knowledge of commercial interiors and interior fit-out execution.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior, and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of civil works, carpentry, joinery, false ceilings, flooring, and finishing works.
- Understanding of site measurements, quantity calculations, and material planning.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing review; MS Excel and reporting skills are preferred.
- Solid coordination, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple site activities and meet project deadlines.
- Knowledge of quality control, safety procedures, and site documentation.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant experience in commercial and interior fit-out projects is required.
- Experience in retail outlets, showrooms, restaurants, cafés, hotels, offices, or other commercial interiors is preferred.
- Candidates should have practical experience in site supervision, execution, subcontractor coordination, and project progress monitoring.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work according to project requirements.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Guindy Industrial Estate, Chennai, Tamil Nadu
