Key Responsibilities
- Rundown Management: Create, organize, and time the daily news rundown using software like ENPS or iNEWS.
- Story Selection and Writing: Pitches stories, selects global/local news, and writes transparent, accurate, and concise broadcast scripts.
- Live Show Execution: Sits in the Production Control Room (PCR) during live broadcasts to guide anchors, cue graphics, and adjust timing dynamically.
- Video and Graphic Coordination: Collaborates with video editors and graphic designers to ensure compelling visual packages and on-screen graphics.
- Breaking News Handling: Responds instantly to breaking news by restructuring the live show, coordinate live feeds, and updating scripts on the fly.
- Editorial Compliance:
Ensures all content aligns with journalistic ethics, legal standards, and network guidelines.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with newsroom computer systems (ENPS, iNEWS) and a basic understanding of video editing workflows.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional writing skills, sharp editorial judgment, and the ability to make fast decisions under intense pressure.
- Work Schedule: Adaptability to work irregular hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays based on the news cycle.
Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
