JOB DESCRIPTION – PURCHASE HEAD

Industry: Textile & Garment Manufacturing

Experience: 15–25 Years

Department: Purchase & Procurement

Key Responsibilities

- Manage overall purchasing and procurement activities.

- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.

- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

- Analyze current market prices and raw material trends.

- Procure yarn, fabrics, garment accessories, dyes, chemicals, packing materials, and factory spares.

- Control purchase costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Finance teams.

- Manage inventory requirements and ensure timely material availability.

- Lead the purchase team and maintain proper procurement records.

Requirements

- Degree in Textile Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

15–25 years of experience in Purchase & Procurement, preferably in the textile and garment industry.

Strong vendor network and supplier management.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Good knowledge of current market trends and price analysis.

Expertise in cost control, budgeting, and procurement planning.

Knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel.
