Job Description: Science Teacher

We are seeking for a well experienced science teacher for one of our client schools in Surat , Gujarat who can handle grades 8th and 9th CBSE.

Job Summary

A science teacher educates students in scientific principles, plans and delivers curriculum-aligned lessons, and supervises practical laboratory experiments.

Core Responsibilities

- Lesson Planning & Delivery: Create and teach age-appropriate lessons in biology, chemistry, physics, or general science following state, national, or school curricula (such as CBSE or local standards).
- Laboratory Supervision: Guide students safely through hands-on science experiments, demonstrations, and practical lab work in collaboration with lab assistants.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Design quizzes, tests, lab reports, and assignments to track student progress, record grades, and adjust teaching methods for struggling students.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
- Parent & Staff Communication: Attend parent-teacher conferences, report academic progress, and collaborate with department heads and colleagues.
- Extracurricular Activities: Supervise student clubs, science fairs, field trips, or act as a homeroom/form tutor.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics,



or Education (plus a postgraduate certification or teaching credential where required).
- Licensure/Certification: A mandatory state, regional, or national teaching license or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for public and state-recognized schools.
- Subject Knowledge: Deep understanding of core scientific disciplines and lab safety protocols.

Key Skills

- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to break down complex scientific concepts into clear, engaging terms for students of varying skill levels.
- Organization & Time Management: Efficiently manage lesson prep, grading, safety compliance, and administrative registers.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience using digital learning tools, presentation software, and laboratory instruments.
