Responsible for designing, testing, and validating packaging systems for medical devices to ensure product safety during transportation and storage. Work includes lab testing, documentation, and compliance with international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform packaging and transportation testing (drop, vibration, compression, environmental)
- Develop and validate packaging as per International Secure Transit Association and ASTM International standards
- Ensure compliance with International Organization for Standardization standards (ISO 11607 for sterile packaging)
- Prepare validation protocols and reports (IQ, OQ, PQ)
- Conduct risk analysis (FMEA) for packaging systems
- Coordinate with quality, manufacturing, and R&D; teams
Skills
- Knowledge of packaging materials and testing methods
- Familiar with ISTA, ASTM, and ISO standards
- Experience with lab equipment (vibration tester, drop tester, compression tester)
- Basic understanding of regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP)
- Good documentation and analytical skills
- Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Biomedical / Packaging Engineering or related field
