Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef specializing in Continental cuisine to join our café kitchen team. The candidate will assist in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, cooking, and maintaining quality and hygiene standards while ensuring consistency in food presentation and taste.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing and cooking Continental dishes, including pasta, sandwiches, burgers, salads, soups, and appetizers.
- Prepare mise en place before service and ensure all ingredients are ready for use.
- Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and plating guidelines.
- Support senior chefs during food preparation and service.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items using FIFO practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
- Follow food safety standards and kitchen SOPs.
- Monitor ingredient usage and minimize food wastage.
- Assist with receiving and checking the quality of kitchen supplies.
- Work efficiently during busy service hours and coordinate with the kitchen team.




- Follow instructions from senior chefs and contribute to smooth daily operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Basic knowledge of Continental cuisine and café-style food preparation.
- Knowledge of pasta, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and basic sauces.
- Understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Positive teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to kitchen requirements.
- A culinary certificate or diploma is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

- 0–5 years of experience in a café, restaurant, or commercial kitchen.
- Freshers with relevant culinary training may also apply.

Work Location

South Delhi and Gurgaon

Compensation: As per experience and skills.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
