Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Inventory & MIS professional who has hands-on experience managing a retail shop, wholesale business, or distribution operation with 500+ SKUs (Stock Keeping Units).

The candidate should have strong knowledge of inventory control, stock reconciliation, procurement planning, and management reporting. The role will also involve preparing daily MIS reports for fuel operations and weekly MIS dashboards for solar operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management

* Manage inventory of 500+ SKUs across retail, wholesale, or distribution operations.

* Monitor stock receipts, sales, stock transfers, returns, and closing balances.

* Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular physical stock verification.

* Identify stock shortages, excess stock, slow-moving items, and dead stock.

* Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective measures.

* Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid stockouts and overstocking.

2. Procurement & Purchase Planning

* Analyse stock consumption, sales trends, and reorder levels to plan purchases.

* Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, pricing, delivery timelines, and availability.

* Compare supplier prices and recommend cost-effective purchasing decisions.

* Track purchase orders, pending deliveries, and supplier performance.

* Ensure timely availability of materials while controlling inventory and procurement costs.

3. Daily Fuel MIS

* Prepare daily MIS reports covering sales, purchases, stock movement, and closing stock.

* Monitor fuel stock variance, sales performance, and operational discrepancies.

* Reconcile inventory data with sales and purchase records.

* Highlight unusual variances and report them to management.

4. Weekly Solar MIS & Dashboard





* Prepare weekly MIS reports and dashboards for solar operations.

* Track material availability, consumption, procurement, project requirements, and pending orders.

* Monitor project-related costs, material shortages, and delivery delays.

* Provide clear updates on key performance indicators to management.

5. Reporting & Data Analysis

* Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.

* Develop dashboards to track inventory levels, stock movement, procurement costs, and operational performance.

* Analyse data and provide actionable recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

* Ensure timely reporting and coordination with finance, operations, procurement, and warehouse teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

* 8-10 years of relevant experience in inventory management, retail, wholesale, or distribution.

* Mandatory: Previous hands-on experience managing 500+ SKUs in a retail shop, wholesale business, or distribution setup.

* Strong understanding of stock reconciliation, inventory valuation, reorder levels, and procurement processes.

* Good command of MS Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and reporting dashboards.

* Experience with ERP, POS, or inventory management software is preferred.

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

* Ability to prepare accurate reports and independently manage reporting deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We prefer candidates who have personally handled day-to-day inventory operations in a high-SKU retail or wholesale setting, rather than candidates whose experience is limited to preparing reports or maintaining basic data entries.

Candidates should be able to explain their inventory control process, stock reconciliation methods, procurement decisions, and reporting practices with practical examples.
