Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, financial documentation, project expenditure monitoring, vendor Invoice verification , vendor payments, and financial reporting construction project. The candidate should have strong knowledge of construction project accounting, GST, TDS, billing, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, bank reconciliation, and cash/bank transactions.
- Handle project-related accounts, including vendor bills, subcontractor bills, purchase invoices, and payment processing.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders, work orders, BOQs, material receipts, and project approvals.
- Monitor project expenses, budgets, cost allocation, and actual expenditure against approved estimates.
- Manage GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory compliances, including reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accounts payable and receivable records and coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments.
- Track material purchases, site expenses, labour-related payments, and subcontractor RA (Running Account) bills.
- Prepare monthly project expense reports, cash-flow statements, and management information system (MIS) reports.
- Coordinate with the project manager, procurement team,



store department, and head office for financial and accounting matters.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits, statutory inspections, and internal financial reviews.
- Monitor advances, outstanding payments, vendor balances, and timely settlement of accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and project financial procedures.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- B.Com / M.Com / CMA Inter / CA Inter.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Experience in construction project accounting is mandatory; hospital, healthcare, institutional, or large Civil project experience will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of vendor and subcontractor accounting, project billing, GST, TDS, and cost monitoring.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally, ERP, or SAP.
- Ability to coordinate independently with site teams, vendors, procurement, and head office.
