- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings and structures.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
- Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using appropriate testing equipment.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
- Maintain tools and equipment and keep job sites clean and organized.




- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other construction professionals.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- Valid electrician license/certification (as required by state/local regulations).
- Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety procedures.
