Façade Engineer

1. Job Summary

The AutoCAD Engineer / Facade Designer will be responsible for preparing detailed facade design drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and construction documentation for architectural facade projects. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of facade systems, construction detailing, and drawing coordination, along with the ability to manage design activities independently and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Design & Drafting

- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D facade drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
- Develop facade layouts, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings.
- Review architectural and structural drawings to ensure design compatibility.
- Modify and update drawings based on project requirements, site conditions, and client feedback.

B. Engineering & Coordination

- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Assist in developing facade systems and technical detailing solutions.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable building codes, and industry standards.
- Support design calculations and material quantity estimations.
- Resolve technical issues related to facade design and detailing.

C. Documentation & Quality Control

- Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and document control.
- Ensure drawings comply with project requirements and company quality standards.
- Prepare BOQs, material take-offs, and quantity calculations as required.




- Provide technical documentation and drawing support to fabrication and installation teams.

D. Project Support

- Participate in project meetings and technical discussions.
- Coordinate with production and site teams for drawing clarifications.
- Provide technical support during fabrication and installation.
- Coordinate drawing revisions and approvals with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in value engineering and design optimization.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure timely submission of drawings.

3. Required Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 7–8 years of relevant experience in facade design, AutoCAD drafting, or facade engineering.
- Prior experience in architectural facade projects, preferably involving shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and construction detailing.

4. Technical Skills

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
- Good knowledge of facade systems, materials, and construction detailing.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Understanding of facade engineering practices, building codes, and project specifications.
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar design software will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of BOQs, material take-offs, and drawing revision control.

7. Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with relevant experience in facade design, aluminium and glazing systems, shop drawings, fabrication detailing, and coordination with production and site teams will be preferred.

Pay: ₹9,500.00 - ₹48,000.00 per month
