About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Tool Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing press tools, progressive dies, compound dies, and related tooling solutions for sheet metal components. The role requires strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tool design principles, and CAD software.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop press tools, progressive dies, compound dies, blanking dies, and forming dies as per customer and production requirements.
- Prepare 2D Drawings, manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs using AutoCAD software.
- Conduct feasibility studies and strip layout development for sheet metal components.
- Calculate press tonnage, material utilization, die clearance, and other tooling parameters.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and tool room teams for tool manufacturing and troubleshooting.




- Analyze tool failures and implement corrective actions to improve tool life and productivity.
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure designs comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
- Support tool trials, validation, and production handover activities.
- Maintain engineering documentation and revision control.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (DME / B.E. Mechanical).
- Experience in press tool design and development.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal stamping, forming, blanking, bending, and deep drawing operations.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, Creo, or Autodesk Inventor.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and material specifications.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling materials.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
