- Verify finished dimensions before sending material for final inspection or dispatch.
- Report dimensional deviations immediately to the supervisor.
- Ensure that machined materials meet the specified tolerances and surface-finish requirements.

D. Material Handling and Identification

- Verify material grade, size,

job number, and quantity before machining.
- Ensure that the correct material is selected for each customer order.
- Follow proper procedures for loading, unloading, lifting, and positioning heavy steel plates and blocks.
- Use cranes, hoists, lifting equipment, or material-handling tools only when trained and authorized.
- Protect machined surfaces from scratches, dents, rust, and other damage.
- Maintain proper identification and traceability of materials throughout machining.
- Ensure that materials belonging to different customers or orders are not mixed up.
- Report any visible material defects, cracks, damage, or identification discrepancies before machining.

E. Quality Control and Inspection

- Inspect the material condition before starting the job.
- Check surface finish, flatness, squareness, and dimensional accuracy during machining.
- Ensure that there are no avoidable tool marks, burrs, dents, or machining defects.
- Follow company quality procedures and customer-specific requirements.
- Maintain dimensional consistency for repeat jobs.
- Keep measuring instruments clean and handle them carefully.
- Inform the supervisor or quality department if a job does not meet specifications.
- Do not send rejected or non-conforming material for dispatch without the required approval.

F. Machine Maintenance and Tool Care

- Perform daily cleaning of the milling machine and surrounding work area.
- Check machine lubrication, coolant levels, guards, and other routine operating conditions.
- Inspect cutters, inserts, tool holders, clamps, and fixtures before use.
