Job Summary

We are looking for a technically skilled and responsible Assay Master to oversee precious metal testing and assaying activities, maintain testing accuracy, and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and established laboratory procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct and supervise gold and silver assaying activities using approved testing methods.

- Ensure accuracy and consistency in precious metal purity testing and reporting.

- Monitor laboratory equipment, testing procedures, and quality control practices.

- Verify test results, maintain records, and prepare technical reports as required.

- Ensure compliance with applicable BIS requirements, laboratory procedures, and quality standards.

- Identify testing deviations and coordinate corrective actions.

- Maintain proper documentation, calibration records, and equipment maintenance schedules.

- Guide and support technical team members in following standard operating procedures (SOPs).





- Coordinate with branch management and other departments to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

- Maintain laboratory safety, confidentiality, and operational discipline.

Qualifications

- Degree or diploma in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or a related technical field is preferred.

- Relevant technical qualifications and hands-on experience in precious metal assaying will be considered.

- Knowledge of gold and silver purity testing, fire assay, or XRF analysis is an advantage.

Required Skills

- Strong technical knowledge of precious metal testing and assaying.

- Attention to detail and commitment to accurate results.

- Ability to maintain technical records and documentation.

- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Ability to coordinate with team members and manage laboratory activities.

- Good communication and reporting skills.

Experience

Relevant experience in gold and silver assaying, hallmarking, precious metal testing, or laboratory operations is preferred. Candidates with suitable technical qualifications and relevant hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.
