About the Project

The project involves integrating mechanical systems, valves, pumps, sensors, embedded controllers, and software to develop a reliable automation solution that can be monitored and controlled remotely through a Wi-Fi-enabled application.

We are looking for a motivated Mechatronics Engineering Intern who is interested in building and testing a real-world engineering prototype, from component selection and circuit development to system integration and field validation.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in designing and developing a prototype for an automated system.
- Select and evaluate solenoid valves, pinch valves, pumps and piping.
- Work with ESP32 microcontrollers, relay modules, MOSFET drivers, power supplies, and electrical protection circuits.
- Integrate sensors with embedded controllers.
- Develop basic embedded firmware for valve actuation, timer-based automation, and sensor monitoring.
- Assist in integrating Wi-Fi connectivity and a dashboard or application for remote monitoring and control.
- Participate in hardware assembly, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and prototype validation.
- Evaluate component performance under outdoor conditions, including moisture, corrosion, high alkalinity, and suspended solids.
- Prepare wiring diagrams, BOMs, technical documentation, test reports, and project progress updates.
- Assist with field trials and recommend improvements for reliability, safety, and maintainability.

Eligibility Criteria

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma, B.E., B.Tech., or M.E./M.Tech. in Mechatronics Engineering.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electronics, and control systems.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers such as ESP32 or Arduino is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of sensors, actuators, relays, MOSFETs, and electrical circuits.
- Interest in automation, IoT, robotics, embedded systems, or industrial product development.
- Willingness to learn hands-on prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical datasheets, prepare documentation,

and work independently as well as in a team.

Preferred Skills

Candidates with experience or interest in any of the following will have an advantage:

- ESP32 / Arduino programming using C or C++.
- Wi-Fi communication, MQTT, HTTP APIs, or IoT dashboards.
- CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD.
- Pump selection, valve actuation, fluid mechanics, and piping systems.
- PCB design, circuit assembly, soldering, and electrical testing.
- Python, PLCs, or industrial automation.
- Technical drawing, BOM preparation, and prototype documentation.

Candidates are not expected to know every technology listed. A solid willingness to learn and practical problem-solving ability are important.

What You Will Gain

- Hands-on experience developing a real-world mechatronics and IoT prototype.
- Exposure to embedded systems, industrial automation
- Experience integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Opportunities to participate in prototype development, testing, and field validation.
- Practical experience in engineering documentation, troubleshooting, and product development.
- Mentorship and an opportunity to contribute ideas to an evolving engineering project.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who enjoys building things, investigating why systems fail, testing ideas, and turning engineering concepts into working prototypes.

If you are curious about how mechanical equipment, electronics, sensors, and software work together to solve industrial problems, this internship is an prospect to apply your engineering knowledge to a practical application.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume along with a brief description of any relevant academic projects, internships, or personal projects.

Candidates may also share GitHub repositories, CAD designs, circuit diagrams, project videos, or other examples of their practical work.
