Position: Dietitian / Clinical Dietician
Location: VIP Road, Zirakpur

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and compassionate Dietitian to join our hospital team. The candidate will be responsible for assessing patients' nutritional needs, preparing individualized diet plans, providing nutritional counselling, and coordinating with doctors and other healthcare professionals to support patients' recovery and overall health.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct nutritional assessments of patients based on their medical condition, dietary history, and nutritional requirements.
- Prepare individualized diet plans for IPD and OPD patients.
- Provide dietary counselling to patients and their attendants.
- Plan therapeutic diets for conditions such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Kidney Disease, Liver Disease, Cardiac conditions, Obesity, GI disorders, and other medical conditions.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other clinical departments regarding patients' nutritional requirements.
- Monitor patients' dietary intake and nutritional progress during hospitalization.
- Modify diet plans according to the patient's condition and doctor's advice.
- Educate patients and attendants regarding healthy eating habits, lifestyle modifications, and post-discharge nutrition.
- Coordinate with the hospital kitchen regarding preparation and serving of prescribed therapeutic diets.
- Ensure that patient meals are prepared and served according to prescribed diet plans.
- Maintain proper records of nutritional assessments, diet plans, counselling, and follow-ups.




- Conduct regular rounds of admitted patients where required.
- Assist in developing standard diet charts and nutritional guidelines for different medical conditions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, food safety, hygiene, and infection-control standards.
- Perform other dietetics-related duties assigned by the management.

Qualification

- B.Sc. in Nutrition & Dietetics / Food & Nutrition or equivalent.
- M.Sc. in Clinical Nutrition / Dietetics will be an added advantage.
- Relevant certification or registration, where applicable.

Experience

- 1–3 years of experience in a hospital/clinical setting preferred.
- Freshers with relevant qualification may also be considered.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of clinical and therapeutic nutrition.
- Robust patient counselling and communication skills.
- Knowledge of hospital diets and therapeutic diet planning.
- Ability to work effectively with doctors, nurses, kitchen staff, and other departments.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
- Good knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices.

Salary: As per qualification and experience / As per hospital norms.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
