Jupiter Power Transmissions Private Limited (PUMPWALA) has been engineering flow in Mumbai since 1986. At our workshop in Andheri East we assemble, test and overhaul centrifugal pumps for high-rise water supply, fire-fighting, HVAC and industrial applications. We are an Authorised Wilo Dealer for General Industry and Building Services Commercial, representing Wilo Mather and Platt Pumps Pvt. Ltd. (Wilo Group, Germany).

We are hiring one Pump Fitter for assembly and overhaul in the workshop and at site.

Responsibilities

- Assemble and dismantle centrifugal pumps — end-suction, split-case, multistage and vertical inline — in the workshop and at site, working from drawings and assembly instructions.
- Fit bearings, shafts, shaft sleeves, impellers, wear rings and couplings; set clearances; fit gland packing; fit, set and replace mechanical seals.
- Carry out pump–motor coupling alignment (dial gauge / straight-edge) and check free rotation before test.
- Support hydrostatic and performance testing on the test bed: mounting, piping, readings and reporting faults.
- Use hand and power tools, pullers, bearing heaters and torque wrenches correctly; follow protected lifting practice with chain blocks and slings; keep tools and the work area in order.
- Prepare overhauled pumps for despatch; assist the service engineers at site on installation and breakdown jobs when required.





Requirements — essential

- 2+ years' experience with pumps or rotating equipment (assembly, overhaul or maintenance).
- Gland packing: fitting and setting.
- Competent with hand and power tools, pullers, bearing heaters and torque wrench; safe lifting practice.
- Able to read basic engineering drawings and parts lists; Hindi or Marathi; basic English helpful.
- Able to commute to Andheri East daily; willing to attend site work in Mumbai / MMR when required.

Requirements — preferred

- ITI Fitter.
- Mechanical seal knowledge: fitting, setting and replacement.
- Experience at a pump manufacturer, dealer or pump repair workshop.
