A Store & Purchase Supervisor manages inventory control, warehouse/store operations, and the end-to-end procurement of materials and supplies.

Job Description & Core ResponsibilitiesStore & Inventory Operations

- Inventory Control: Supervise stock movement, track inventory levels, conduct stocktaking, and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Store Maintenance: Keep store/warehouse areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety best practices.
- Team Supervision: Assign daily tasks, guide store personnel, and monitor workflow standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of incoming and outgoing stock, store receipts, and inventory records.

Purchasing & Procurement

- Vendor Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and maintain a list of approved suppliers, vendors, and transporters.
- Quotations & Negotiations: Send inquiries, compare vendor pricing, and negotiate rates, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Purchase Orders (POs): Prepare comparison charts, raise purchase orders, and obtain proper management approvals before dispatching to suppliers.
- Delivery Follow-up:



Coordinate with suppliers and internal store teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and handle urgent local/cash purchases.

Common Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or purchasing (often 2–5+ years depending on company size).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory software, ERP systems, MS Excel, and purchase record management.
- Soft Skills: Robust negotiation, vendor management, communication, and organizational skills.
