Employment Type: Full-TimeJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Multi-Cloud Database Administrator / Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise-grade database environments. In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, deployment, security, and performance tuning of our data layer across a multi-cloud ecosystem (AWS, Azure, and GCP).The ideal candidate bridges the gap between traditional database administration and up-to-date DevOps, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation to ensure high availability, scalability, and zero-downtime operations.Key Responsibilities

- Cloud Architecture & Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain highly available, resilient, and scalable database architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Database Administration: Manage lifecycle operations (provisioning, patching, upgrades, and configuration) for relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, Cosmos DB) engines.
- Automation & GitOps: Eliminate manual toil by automating database deployments, schema migrations, and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Performance Engineering: Proactively monitor system health, optimize complex queries, tune indexing strategies, and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure sub-millisecond responsiveness.
- Disaster Recovery & Security: Implement robust backup/recovery strategies, cross-region replication,



and point-in-time recovery. Enforce strict data-at-rest and data-in-transit encryption, IAM controls, and compliance standards.
- Migration Workloads: Plan and execute seamless, near-zero-downtime database migrations from on-premises environments or single-cloud setups to multi-cloud architectures.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a Database Administrator or Database Engineer in production cloud environments.
- Multi-Cloud Expertise: Proficient with managed database services across multiple providers:
- AWS: RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB
- Azure: Azure SQL, Cosmos DB
- GCP: Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner
- Core Databases: Deep expertise in PostgreSQL or MySQL, alongside strong knowledge of enterprise engines like Oracle or MS SQL Server.
- Infrastructure as Code: Proven experience provisioning infrastructure using Terraform.
- Scripting & Automation: Strong programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go for database automation tasks.
- Observability: Experience setting up monitoring dashboards and alerts using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or native cloud tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Qualifications

- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Database - Specialty, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Database Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.
- Experience managing distributed data systems across regions or hybrid networks.
- Understanding of containerised database workloads (Docker, Kubernetes/K8s operators).
