Job Description:

- A. Electrical Operations and Shift Management

- Monitor and supervise the day-to-day operation of HT substations, GIS, distribution transformers, and DG power systems.

- Ensure continuity and reliability of electrical power supply during normal operations, power failures, and emergency conditions.

- Monitor electrical parameters, equipment performance, alarms, and abnormal operating conditions.

- Coordinate shift activities, equipment switching, and restoration of electrical supply in accordance with approved operating procedures.

- B. Electrical Safety and Statutory Compliance

- Implement and enforce Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures for electrical maintenance and related activities.

- Ensure proper implementation of Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, equipment isolation, and verification of secure working conditions.

- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety regulations, statutory requirements, and site-specific safety procedures.

- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure that personnel follow prescribed electrical safety practices.

- Maintain appropriate records of permits, isolations, switching operations, and safety incidents.

- C. Maintenance and Equipment Reliability

- Coordinate preventive,



predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for HT substations, GIS, transformers, AMF panels, and synchronized DG systems.

- Supervise and coordinate Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) annual maintenance contracts and scheduled servicing activities.

- Monitor equipment health, recurring faults, maintenance observations, and corrective actions.

- Coordinate with OEM representatives, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and minimize equipment downtime.

- Ensure that maintenance activities are completed as per approved schedules and documented procedures.

- D. Logbook Management and Performance Monitoring

- Maintain and review shift logbooks, equipment operating records, electrical parameter readings, and maintenance registers.

- Analyse logbook data to identify abnormal trends, recurring faults, equipment deterioration, and potential operational risks.

- Prepare shift handover reports, incident reports, and operational summaries.

- Escalate critical alarms, equipment failures, and deviations from normal operating parameters to the concerned authorities
