Job Summary
We are looking for a Software Developer with robust expertise in C++, TCP/IP networking, and Automotive Ethernet. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing customer requirements, designing and implementing software solutions, configuring IP stacks, and validating Audio Video Bridging (AVB) software stacks for automotive applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements and technical specifications.
- Perform software design, object-oriented analysis, and implementation according to customer specifications.
- Implement or configure IP stacks to meet functional requirements.
- Understand and configure Layer 2 Ethernet switches and their working principles.
- Analyze stack timing requirements and optimize startup performance.
- Configure and validate AVB software stacks.
- Validate AVB software stacks against applicable AVB guidelines.
- Analyze and debug TCP/IP communication issues.
- Use network analysis tools to troubleshoot Ethernet and networking problems.
- Follow development and quality processes,
including SAFe Agile and ASPICE.
- Participate in software design, architecture, debugging, and problem-solving activities.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong programming skills in C++; knowledge of C is preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP protocols and stack functionality.
- Experience with multithreading and synchronization techniques.
- Experience in the Automotive Ethernet domain.
- Knowledge of Ethernet standards:
- IEEE 802.3u
- IEEE 802.3ab
Experience configuring and validating AVB stacks. Knowledge of AVB protocols, including IEEE 802.1AS. Hands-on experience with network debugging and analysis tools, such as:
- Wireshark
- tcpdump
Experience working with QNX and Linux operating systems. Familiarity with design and architecture tools such as Enterprise Architect (EA).
Preferred Skills
- Automotive embedded software development experience.
- Experience with Ethernet switch configuration and IP stack integration.
- Strong understanding of SAFe / Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with ASPICE processes.
- Strong logical, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, particularly in TCP/IP communication.
