Performance Expectations:
Prepare design concepts, along with 3D models and production drawings with supporting calculations and material data ensuring that designs meet specification requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
Design, formulate and produce complete product related changes.
Investigate and resolve bill of material (BOM) issues.
Maintain thorough documentation for all aspects of assigned projects.
Work with engineering teams to provide cost effective solutions to design challenges.
Provide support in checking details, assemblies and BOMs for assigned projects.
Apply a wide variety of established or modified engineering methods or techniques with considerable independence of action.
Other duties as assigned.

Credentials:




Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Desired Characteristics:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanical / Electrical designer in a heavy equipment (or related) manufacturing setting.
Design experience with SolidWorks (with formal training preferred); experience with FEA desirable.
Good working knowledge of mechanical design, GD&T;, DFMEA, welding / fabrication processes, hydraulic controls and general electrical skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well with a cross functional technical team.
Strong organizational skills
