Windows L2 Engineer Job Description

We are looking for a Windows L2 Support Engineer with hands-on experience in Windows Server administration, virtualization, patching, and vulnerability management. The candidate should be capable of handling enterprise infrastructure operations, troubleshooting, and security compliance activities.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage and support Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022)
- Administration and troubleshooting of Active Directory (AD), Azure AD / Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy (GPO)
- Manage user accounts, security groups, OU structure, and access permissions
- Configure and troubleshoot DHCP scopes and DHCP Failover
- Monitor and maintain Hyper-V infrastructure and virtual machines
- Support Windows Failover Clusters and Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV)
- Perform VM migration, failover/failback activities, and cluster health checks
- Handle server patching, reboot coordination, and maintenance activities
- Work on Vulnerability Assessment (VA) and remediation activities
- Analyze VA scan reports and coordinate remediation with respective teams
- Remediate OS-level vulnerabilities, outdated protocols, weak ciphers, and security misconfigurations
- Perform compliance validation after remediation activities




- Troubleshoot server performance, event logs, services, and connectivity issues
- Handle incident, problem, and change management activities
- Coordinate with storage, backup, network, and application teams
- Prepare daily health check, patching, and vulnerability reports
- Support DR activities and infrastructure monitoring
- Maintain SOPs, technical documents, and operational reports

Required Technical Skills

- Administration and troubleshooting of Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID
- User and group management in Entra ID
- Knowledge of Azure AD Connect and synchronization
- Understanding of Conditional Access and MFA concepts
- Basic knowledge of Hybrid AD workplace
