About the role
. The Executive, Contract Farming is responsible for managing and expanding potato contract farming operations within an assigned territory. This role supports McCain’s agricultural growth strategy by developing new farming geographies, strengthening farmer partnerships, driving adoption of modern agronomic practices, ensuring compliance with agricultural protocols, and optimizing potato yield, quality, and supply. The position plays a critical role in delivering sustainable potato production that meets business requirements while maintaining strong grower relationships and operational excellence. What you’ll be doing.
• Manage contract farming activities across assigned territories, ensuring effective execution of crop programs and grower engagement.
• Identify and develop new geographies to support potato contract farming expansion and future business growth.
• Implement and execute agricultural digitalization initiatives to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
• Drive adoption of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and support achievement of external GAP certification requirements.
• Execute agreed agronomy protocols throughout the growing season and monitor compliance across farming operations.
• Support potato acreage expansion to secure the required production volumes from existing and adjoining farming areas.
• Partner with growers to transition from traditional cultivation methods to modern farming techniques that improve productivity.
• Analyze crop and territory data to identify opportunities for improved yield, quality, and operational performance.
• Monitor crop intelligence and potato quality information, proactively addressing potential risks and performance issues.
• Coordinate load allocations, grade entries, and timely grower payments while collaborating with internal stakeholders to support supply plans What you’ll need to be successful.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture,



Horticulture, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in crop production, agronomy, contract farming, or related agricultural operations.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Agriculture or Horticulture with experience in potato crop production.
• Strong understanding of agronomy principles, crop production practices, and agricultural sustainability initiatives.
• Experience working directly with farmers, growers, and agricultural stakeholders.
• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret field and crop data to support business decisions.
• Solid conflict resolution and relationship management capabilities with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across field and corporate environments.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively during crop seasons and project activities. About the team. The Executive, Contract Farming is part of the agriculture team and works closely with Contract Farming, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to support seed dispatches, crop monitoring, harvesting activities, logistics coordination, and grower payments. The role also partners extensively with farmers and growers to deliver high-quality potato production through contract farming programs and contributes to McCain’s agricultural growth and supply security strategy.
