Job Summary We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented SCM – Vendor Development Executive to identify, evaluate, develop, and maintain reliable vendor relationships to ensure timely procurement of materials and services at competitive costs.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and develop new vendors and suppliers based on business requirements.
• Source suppliers for raw materials, machining components, consumables, and other procurement requirements.
• Evaluate vendors based on quality, cost, delivery, and service capabilities.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Coordinate with the Purchase, Production, Quality, and Planning teams to meet material requirements.
• Follow up with vendors for quotations, purchase orders, material delivery, and pending supplies.
• Monitor vendor performance and resolve supply-related issues.
• Maintain vendor databases, quotation records, comparative statements, and supplier documentation.
• Develop long-term supplier relationships to improve cost efficiency and supply chain performance. Required Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in vendor development, supplier sourcing, purchasing, or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering industry.
• Positive negotiation, communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and procurement documentation.
• Knowledge of machining components and manufacturing processes will be an added advantage. Preferred Skills
