As a Packaged/SaaS Application Engineer, a typical day involves configuring and supporting packaged or software as a service applications to tailor features according to evolving business requirements. The role includes managing application releases and ensuring the overall stability and performance of the systems. The engineer collaborates with various teams to align solutions with organizational goals while maintaining compatibility across platforms. Daily activities also include utilizing standard tools, application programming interfaces, and low-code platforms to deliver effective and reliable application support, ensuring seamless user experience and operational continuity. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement application enhancements.- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain system reliability.- Document configuration changes and maintain detailed records of application updates.- Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on best practices. Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell.- Experience in scripting and automation to streamline application management tasks.- Familiarity with APIs and integration techniques to connect packaged applications with other systems.- Knowledge of release management processes and version control.- Ability to work with low-code platforms to customize and extend application functionality.- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve application issues efficiently.
