Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior CloudOps Engineer with robust hands-on Azure experience to

drive cloud operations, platform reliability, security governance, and cost optimization. The

role focuses on operational ownership, enforcing governance standards, managing

production environments, and ensuring secure, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Azure platform reliability, availability, and operational readiness.

• Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation.

• Implement Azure governance using Azure Policy, RBAC, PIM, naming conventions, and

tagging standards.

• Drive FinOps initiatives, including resource rightsizing, reservations, savings plans, and cost

optimization.

• Manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), focusing on scaling, resource utilization, and

operational boundaries.

• Maintain operational runbooks, SOPs, and change management processes.

• Manage Azure subscriptions, management groups, networking, identity, and access controls.

• Identify and remediate governance gaps, excessive permissions, and configuration drift.

Must-Have Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience with production operations ownership.

• Strong expertise in Azure infrastructure, networking, subscriptions,



and management groups.

• Experience with Azure governance, Azure Policy, RBAC, and identity/access management.

• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep).

• Experience in incident management, root cause analysis, and operational remediation.

• Understanding of Azure cost optimization and FinOps practices.

• Ability to enforce security, governance, and operational standards.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Experience establishing CloudOps processes and governance frameworks.

• Exposure to Azure cost management, reservations, and savings plans.

• Experience with ITIL-based IT service management.

Mandatory Certifications (At least 2–3 certifications required):

o Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).

o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).

o Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-140).

o Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).

o Preferred: ITIL 4 Foundation certification.

Note: This is a Cloud Operations-focused role, not a DevOps enablement or application

development position. Candidates must demonstrate strong operational ownership,

governance enforcement, security awareness, and cost accountability.
