Your mission As an Assistant Manager – Electrical Sourcing you will drive drive strategic sourcing, supplier development, commercial negotiations, and procurement activities for electrical materials. Key Responsabilities:
• Independently manage the sourcing and procurement of HV and LV Cables / Composite Cables, electrical panels, motors, and electrical components, including various cable types used in industrial, engineering, and project applications.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers in line with business and sourcing requirements.
• Manage the supplier onboarding process, including supplier evaluation, qualification, and documentation.
• Drive strategic sourcing initiatives for electrical components and materials.
• Develop and maintain solid relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
• Conduct techno-commercial evaluations of suppliers and quotations.
• Lead commercial negotiations to achieve competitive pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, sourcing opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Projects, and other internal stakeholders to understand material and technical requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness.




• Ensure sourcing activities are aligned with organizational procurement policies and business objectives.
• Maintain accurate supplier and procurement information in the ERP system. What we are looking for:
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in sourcing/procurement in the electrical, electrical engineering, or related sectors.
• Demonstrated, hands-on experience in HV and LV Cables / Composite Cables procurement is essential.
• Strong understanding of electrical cable specifications, technical requirements, supplier evaluation, and techno-commercial assessment.
• Good knowledge of electrical components, preferably including electrical panels, motors, and associated materials.
• Proven track record in supplier development, commercial negotiations, cost optimization, and procurement execution.
• Ability to independently manage supplier identification, quotation evaluation, negotiation, and purchase order follow-up.
• Engineering qualification, preferably B.
E./B.
Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in English and Tamil; Hindi is an added advantage.
• Strong Electrical Engineering background and proven, hands-on experience in HV and LV Cables/Composite cables, electrical panels, motors and electrical components.
