Role Description The Head of Procurement is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Coimbatore, responsible for overseeing all procurement and purchasing activities for Vandewiele-Savio India Private Limited. The role involves developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and quality-assured sourcing of materials, components, and services. Daily responsibilities include leading supplier evaluation and selection, negotiating contracts and long-term agreements, monitoring supplier performance, and coordinating with production, finance, and logistics teams to maintain uninterrupted operations.



The Head of Procurement will also implement and improve procurement policies and processes, manage a procurement team, track key metrics, and support cost optimization and compliance with company standards and local regulations. Qualifications
• Robust procurement and purchasing capabilities, including experience in Procurement and Purchasing activities.
• Proven supplier management skills, covering Supplier Management and Supplier Evaluation for domestic and international vendors.
• Demonstrated expertise in contract-related activities, including Contract Negotiation and commercial terms management.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, cost reduction initiatives, and inventory optimization within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or MBA is an advantage.
• Leadership experience managing procurement teams, with the ability to mentor, delegate, and drive performance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with proficiency in ERP or procurement systems and MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of textile machinery or industrial manufacturing sectors is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore and travel to supplier locations and other company sites as required.
