Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically competent Inventory & Stock Auditor to manage site inventory audits, verify material consumption against BOMs and engineering drawings, validate contractor bills, and resolve store discrepancies. The candidate must possess strong analytical skills, excellent command of Google Sheets and MS Excel, and the ability to make practical decisions at project sites. 2.

Key Responsibilities
A. Inventory Management & Stock Auditing
• Conduct regular physical stock verification at project sites and reconcile physical stock with store records, ERP data, and material registers.
• Monitor material receipts, issues, transfers, consumption, returns, and closing balances.
• Identify shortages, excess stock, damaged materials, and discrepancies; investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Verify material availability and consumption against project requirements.
• Maintain accurate stock reconciliation reports, material movement records,



and audit observations. B. BOM & Engineering Drawing Verification
• Understand and verify Bills of Materials (BOMs) against actual material requirements and consumption.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and material schedules to validate quantities and specifications.
• Cross-check material issued and consumed against approved drawings, BOQs, and project requirements.
• Identify material mismatches, excess consumption, and deviations from approved quantities.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and stores teams to resolve technical and material-related discrepancies. C. Verification of material given to Contractor from store
• Cross-check quantities claimed by contractors with physical progress and relevant supporting documents.
• Reconcile company-issued materials, recoveries, returns, and consumption against contractor records.
• Highlight excess claims, duplicate entries, quantity mismatches, and unsupported billing items.
• Coordinate with site engineers, billing teams, and project management for bill clarification and approval. D. Data Management & Reporting
• Maintain and analyse inventory data using advanced MS Excel and Google Sheets.
• Prepare stock reconciliation statements, material consumption reports, variance analysis, and audit summaries.
• Use Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, conditional formatting, data validation, and other spreadsheet functions.
• Develop trackers and dashboards for stock movement, material ageing, consumption, and contractor billing.
• Submit periodic reports highlighting discrepancies, financial exposure, corrective actions, and pending issues. E. Site-Level Decision-Making & Coordination




• Investigate and resolve routine store discrepancies in coordination with site stores, engineering, and execution teams.
• Take timely, evidence-based decisions within delegated authority and escalate major financial or technical discrepancies.
• Ensure proper documentation and approval of material adjustments, transfers, returns, and corrections.
• Conduct surprise stock checks and compliance audits as required.
• Ensure adherence to company inventory control procedures and project documentation standards. 3. Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of BOM, BOQ, material reconciliation, and inventory control.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and material schedules.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets is mandatory.
• Experience in contractor bill checking and quantity verification.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective action.
• Good coordination and communication skills with site engineers, storekeepers, contractors, and project teams.
• Willingness to travel to and work at project sites. 4. Educational Qualification & Experience
• Graduate in any discipline; Diploma/B.
Tech in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering will be an advantage.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in inventory auditing, material reconciliation, site stores, or contractor billing.
• Experience in Solar EPC, transmission lines, or substation projects is strongly preferred.
• Practical exposure to site materials, project BOQs, engineering drawings, and material consumption tracking is desirable. 5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Accuracy of physical stock verification and inventory reconciliation.
• Timely identification and closure of stock discrepancies.
• Accuracy and turnaround time of contractor bill verification.
• Reduction in material losses, unexplained variances, and excess consumption.
• Accuracy and timeliness of Excel/Google Sheets reports.
• Compliance with inventory control procedures and supporting documentation.
