Title: Breakthrough NextGen Internship Type: Paid No of Interns: 8

Location:
Delhi Internship Duration
- 11 weeks Work Mode: Hybrid, Breakthrough’s work on gender justice extends beyond programme implementation to shaping narratives, influencing institutions, and building long-term alliances across sectors. Many individuals who will influence institutions in the future; across universities, corporates, consulting firms, media organisations, and public policy spaces; are currently students or early professionals. Engaging with them early in their careers provides an opportunity to deepen their understanding of gender justice and build relationships that extend beyond the organisation itself. Breakthrough currently engages young people through internships and volunteer programmes. While valuable, these engagements are often informal and task-oriented. A structured internship programme provides an opportunity to create a more intentional platform for talent engagement, learning, and strategic contribution. The proposed internship is therefore designed not primarily as a recruitment pipeline, but as a way to build an extended network of individuals who remain connected to Breakthrough and act as champions of its mission across institutions and sectors. The internship is designed around defined project assignments that interns work on during the core phase of the programme. These projects will be drawn from areas that are strategically practical to Breakthrough but may not always receive dedicated internal capacity.
The aim is to ensure that interns contribute meaningfully to the organisation while also gaining exposure to different aspects of social change work. These projects can broadly fall across the following seven categories/ departments: 1. Corporate and Institutional Engagement(Dept.
