About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor who can edit both long-form videos and short-form content, including Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. The ideal candidate should have strong storytelling abilities, a keen eye for detail, and hands-on experience integrating Generative AI (GenAI) tools into the video editing workflow. The candidate should be capable of transforming raw footage into engaging, high-quality videos that capture audience attention, communicate ideas effectively, and align with the brand’s content strategy.

Key Responsibilities
* Edit long-form videos for YouTube, podcasts, interviews, educational content, and promotional campaigns.
* Create engaging short-form videos, including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other vertical video formats.
* Integrate GenAI tools into the editing workflow for video generation, AI avatars, voiceovers, subtitles, visual effects, background generation, and other creative enhancements.
* Apply strong storytelling techniques, pacing, hooks, transitions, and narrative flow to improve audience retention.
* Collaborate with content writers, scriptwriters, social media managers, and creative teams to understand content objectives.
* Enhance videos using sound design, color correction, motion graphics, transitions, and visual effects.
* Create attention-grabbing openings and compelling edits to improve viewer engagement and watch time.
* Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form clips optimized for different social media platforms.
* Stay updated with the latest video editing trends, GenAI tools, and emerging content formats.
* Manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality output and meeting deadlines.
* Review feedback and make revisions to ensure the final output meets creative and brand standards. Required Skills & Qualifications
* 2–5 years of professional experience in video editing.




* Proven experience editing both long-form videos and short-form content such as Reels and Shorts.
* Strong storytelling, visual communication, pacing, and content structuring skills.
* Hands-on experience using GenAI tools as part of the video editing workflow.
* Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
* Understanding of aspect ratios, framing, subtitles, audio quality, color grading, and platform-specific video formats.
* Ability to create engaging edits that maintain audience attention and communicate the intended message.
* Strong creative thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage deadlines, handle feedback, and work collaboratively with a creative team. Preferred Skills
* Experience with After Effects, motion graphics, and visual effects.
* Familiarity with AI video tools such as Runway, Kling, Pika, HeyGen, or similar platforms.
* Experience with AI voice generation, AI avatars, automated subtitling, and generative visual assets.
* Understanding of YouTube audience retention, short-form content trends, and social media engagement.
* Experience creating content for personal brands, creators, educational platforms, or finance-related channels.
* A robust portfolio showcasing long-form edits, Reels/Shorts, and GenAI-assisted video projects. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
